School Spelling Bee - First Steps 1. Sites will register to participate in the Scripps Spelling Bee program. Spelling Bee Coordinators will receive Scripps online sign-in information from the administrative team. Coordinators set the deadline for teachers (fourth through eighth grade) to hold Classroom Spelling Bees along with the date of the School Spelling Bee. ELA/Classroom Teachers conduct Classroom Spelling Bees (see page 4 for what point in the Classroom Pronouncer Guide to begin Classroom Spelling Bee-starting points vary by grade level). Teachers report the winner and runner-up to the Spelling Bee Coordinator.
