Strom Aviation is currently seeking helicopter mechanics with either Bell 212, 407, 412, 429, AS365 or Sikorsky S-76 experience. Must have 5 Yrs of A&P experience. Need to be able to start ASAP.Possible Temp to Perm for the right candidate otherwise duration is through the end of the year. POSITION SUMMARY: The Helicopter Technician reports to the Maintenance Manager of Rotor Craft and is responsible for the installation, repair, modification and routine maintenance on aircraft as required; operates in compliance with company safety practices and performs other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Inspect, test, repair, maintain, and service aircraft.

Solutions

Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Modify aircraft structures, space vehicles, systems, or components, following drawings, engineering orders and technical publications. Examine and inspect engine or other components for cracks, breaks, or leaks. Disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects. Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components and accessories, using hand tools and power tools. Adjust, align, and calibrate aircraft systems, using hand tools, gauges, and test equipment.

Test engine and system operations, using testing equipment, and listens to engine sounds to detect and diagnose malfunctions. Service and maintain aircraft systems by performing tasks, such as flushing crankcase, cleaning screens, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes. Perform maintenance IAW FAA approved technical data. Research FAA technical data to locate applicable data relevant to assigned tasks. All candidates must have at least 5 years exp and working with thin sheetmetal Will be on the S-333 side, doing some assembly work. Will also consider other thin sheetmetal experience with some manufacturing. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provides instruction, direction, and training to lower level mechanics.

Operate aircraft systems and troubleshoot components. Certified to operate APU’s. Ability to operate tow; and to refuel vehicles and aircraft.

Performs miscellaneous duties to service the aircraft in order to be in safe operating condition. Have the ability to fill in for the Lead during his/her absence. Ability to comprehend aircraft maintenance literature. Follows written and verbal instructions. Knowledgeable in the use of precision measuring tools, basic tools, and the ability to read blue prints. Maintains a safe and clean working environment in accordance with company standards. Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES- None EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Requires a High School education or equivalent reading, writing, and math abilities. Two years large aircraft maintenance experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Be able to read, write, and understand the English language. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Basic math skills – High School level minimum REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply job knowledge & experience to make sound judgments.

Ability to recognize when to ask questions & when input is needed from either the Lead or Manager. Request material needs timely to ensure a continuous work flow. Follows all department safety guidelines and ensure proper usage of tools and equipment. High School Diploma or GED.

Trade schooling related to cabinetry or other relevant craftsmanship a plus. Thorough knowledge of the Cabinet Build process plus the demonstrated ability to lead and mentor others. 6 years Cabinetry experience, preferably in the corporate aviation completion environment. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation. 3+ Yrs of Experience @ MRO Preferred A/P Mechanics - CRJ or Embraer OR commercial experience with a stable work history. Examines, repairs, assembles, and tests aircraft accessories, such as engines, power brake units, auxiliary electric motors, spark igniters, valves, pumps, fuselage, wings, and oil and fuel tanks, using hand tools and testing devices, and following shop orders and manufacturer's specifications.

Performs routine inspections or special maintenance to prevent failures of aircraft mechanical systems and components; performs complete operations checks on hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, plumbing, precision assemblies, rigging and controls, etc. Determines when a component should be repaired or replaced; decides upon necessary repair scheme, quantity and type of parts needed to accomplish proper repair; secures necessary parts from Stores or departmental supplies. Repairs, reworks, and modifies worn or defective assemblies, making alterations or changes to units when necessary.

Follows approved maintenance procedures for subject component or system, consulting internal procedures that have been FAA approved, original equipment manufacturer's (OEM's) technical data, and work package instructions. Consults the Maintenance Lead if technical assistance is needed during the repair process. Inspects completed work before sign off to identify any needed rework; performs rework; ensures that repaired components meet prescribed standards and tolerances.

Avionics Maintenance Salary

Performs serviceability tests on repaired components/systems using test equipment specified by the original equipment manufacturer. Completes work package documentation by signing/stamping after finishing all designated operations. Submits completed/in-progress work to Maintenance Lead for review; submits to Quality Assurance for final/in-progress inspection and re-certification of airworthiness.

Provides supervisor with performance statistics and other operational data, as requested. Properly accounts for time and materials used in all inspection and maintenance activities. Comply with repair station procedures (RSM /QCM) and company policies (SOP) when performing aircraft or component maintenance. Education: High School/ GED A & P License required. Candidate must have recent P3 Engine and APU Operator experience as a P3 Flight Engineer and be capable ground operator qualification. Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, overhauls and modifies aircraft systems and power plants in accordance with established written procedures, specifications, and standards.

Candidate must be knowledgeable in aircraft systems operation and maintenance to include landing gear, power plants, flight controls, disassembly, reassembly, rigging and aircraft movement. Must be able to read and speak English.

Avionics

Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Mission essential functions and other duties may be assigned as required. FINISH TECHNICIAN III - These individuals should have the ability to prepare high quality fabricated cabinetry, devan, ledges etc and other wood-surfaced subassemblies for the finish application. Mixes paint and stains as needed to achieve a high quality finish application. Applies stains, dyes and paint to fmish fabricated cabinetry sub-assemblies. Utilize acceptable materials for the paint or dye process which is suitable to the design specification.

Interpret material specs and engineering drawings to ensure finished product meets the design spec, with a high level of quality and detail. Request material needs timely to ensure a continuous work flow. Follows all department safety guidelines and ensure proper usage of tools and personal protection equipment. Trade schooling related to cabinetry or other relevant craftsmanship a plus. 6 years Cabinetry experience, preferably in the corporate aviation completion environment.
